Well...it was probably just a homeless person wandering around. He saw my car in the dark parking lot alone and knew he couldn't just leave it alone. I was out skimboarding enjoying my new wetsuit and I came back to find this. My wallet and two nice, fancy, brand new pair of pants gone. No cash in my wallet except for my fake $1,000,000. It is invaluable to me as I've had it with me for the past 4 years. I found it one day while riding the Milwaukee city bus. I'm not complaining, but the "thieves" didn't even take my stereo faceplate, golf clubs or the iPod in the glove compartment. Insurance covered the window replacement and GlassPro even came and repaired it while I was at work. No thanks to the Horry County cop (officer, policeman, law enforcer, etc are all to respectable titles), who after walking up and telling him someone broke into my car, responds "Oh, well sucks to be you". Even going to the DMV to get a new ID was quick and easy.
Definitely won't make this mistake again.

I'm finding out that visitors = an increase in the size of my stomach. So much food in 4 days. Plus being taken to get groceries doesn't help because my mom forces me to get oreos, candy, and soda. Check out my dinner the other night. Kicking Chicken meal from Zaxby's....was upset because I didn't have any beef so I got a double cheeseburger from McD's....then I get home and see that Serafino's has their two time a month only large pizza/2 soda deal so I got that too. Relax, relax....the pizza is right in the front office, I didn't actually have it delivered or anything.
Here was my dinner tonight, a bit healthier....well just the rice. These Jose Ole Burritos are the best possible dollar you could spend on anything. They have steak and cheese, steak and jalapeno, or chicken and cheese. It should be illegal to not have access to these burritos. Two burritos w/ sour cream, rice w/ sweet & sour/soy, and cottage cheese. I think I'm the only one who buys Milwaukee's Best down here.
I knew Jim for about 5 years. I miss being called one of his "boys", being told to take care of his girl, getting winked at when he was playing dumb with somebody else, being called a pisshead, hearing him yell from his room for anybody, calling the house and having him answer "Johnson's", listening to stories about all the cars he had and going to his room to give him a hug before going back to Milwaukee after a weekend home. There's a lot I would still like to talk to Jim about. One of the best times I had with him was the Christmas break of freshman year. I worked on my car in the small freezing garage so I had to go in and warm up a lot and ask him questions. When will we learn to live in the day and tell people what they mean to you while you still can? I'll never forget the smile he gave me while laying in the hospital bed a few days before he passed away. So thanks Jim, knowing you and being loved by you is all I could have asked for; miss you.

Two new songs are posted up in the usual spot. Doves is a group out of England. Firesuite is the best song off the Lost Souls albums. The Black Keys song Tighten Up gets airplay on the radio/MTV, but I like the song Never Gonna Give You Up. Their album Brother is highly recommended.
Biggest news lately is some incredible new music I found. I've only been listening to one of their albums because I want the others to be something new later on, but I think I can claim this group as my new all time favorite. This 10 track playlist is their entire cd called Bliss & Death. You know how with most albums you usually skip over a few songs because they just don't do it for you every time you go through the whole cd??? This isn't one of those albums. Although you should, if you can't get to the whole album now, listen to Edge of the World. Listen to it in silent pitch dark so you can't see or hear anything, only the music.

Alright one last thing because I saw a commercial just now... Anyone wondering about the remixed 80's song on the Verizon Samsung Fascinate commercial??? I know I was so I researched it. Original song is (Keep Feeling) Fascination by The Human League. Turns out the 9 second loop on the commercial is a sample mixed for Verizon. The closest full version to the commercial sample is the White Label Remix. Here it is.

Today was a good day and I was glad to be where I am. I've been missing Milwaukee the past couple weeks and of all things mowing fairways today at work helped me realize I should be happy with life. We worked 12 hours yesterday, a little more than 11 today and will work tomorrow about the same. I spent the past 8 hours of work today mowing fairways. It was awesome! I had been waiting to be able to do that since I started there and scared a few people with how excited I was. Honestly, I would have cut them for free. Back to the point...sitting there 10 feet in the air on a huge open air mower with the sun shining on me all day was a great feeling.
Two great new songs are up. The first song, Anoanimal, I found randomly about a half year ago while watching a longboarding video. It's like three different songs in one. All I can picture and think about when listening to this song is how cold it was outside and driving to a restaurant a few times after my internship. I went there because I liked this waitress lol. The second song I've been listening to since junior year of high school, more than 6 years ago. I bought this trace cd at Best Buy and this song was on it. At the time I had my Mitsubishi Eclipse with my subs so I thought I was the shit listening to these trance songs. This is the only song from that cd I listen to yet. The group Andain is from San Francisco.
On a normal day, I unfortunately find it hard to appreciate what I have, but all it takes is one day like today to give me an awakening. Putting some headphones in and looking up in the sky forces (in a good way) to see all I have to be thankful for. Just as most is easier said than done, it is more easily overlooked than realized. If that makes sense to you, good. If not? To bad.

Thanks to my Dad and Marsha for coming down to visit a few weeks ago. Golf, seafood, golf, Ruths Chris, golf was definitely the way to live for 3 days. First up, I added a music player in the upper right page of the blog. Until I figure out how to add a fancy one it'll just play the one track I put up there. I'm a big believer in listening to an entire song, not just a minute and switching it. If the artist thought you should only listen to it for a minute it wouldn't be 4. So if you have the time, take it, listen to the whole song, and appreciate it!
The first song is the chill wave genre song. The artist is Washed Out and the song is called Feel It All Around. The artists name is Ernest Greene. He has an interesting story with some of it found here. There isn't an actual artist produced video, but this is a cool video to go with the song.
The second song I just found the other day while watching a skimboarding video. The artist is Two Door Cinema Club, song is called What You Know. This is the only song I've heard from the them.
It was 1999 and I was in 6th grade when we first had AOL. Some 7th grade girls from the neighborhood showed me how to set my screen name up. They came up with corcor829. Yeah, I hung out with older chicks. I was having a blast illegally downloading copyrighted music from the wonderful sharing program called Napster. It was at that point and when I was given my first portable cd player that I really started getting into music. I realize I'm somewhat of a hypocrite as I don't play any real instruments, but some of you know my Guitar Hero, hand/object-on-anything-close-by drumming (Missy's favorite), or vocal skillz. There are many different genres I could name that I enjoy, but I usually listen to alternative rock, conscious hip-hop, oldies, indie, and lately some schtuff I listen to on my way to the beach called chill wave. I'll make sure to keep it original, different, and if need be, a explicit lyrics warning on the player. The potty mouth lyrics warning is especially for Nicholas L., because he has no idea what a,s,b, and f bombs are.
One time, I was driving with a friend listening to a random mix cd. I happened to have a lengthy story for each song about where I got it. I'll admit, it does sound really boring now that I actually see what I did in words, but they said that it was interesting enough to make a book out of it. I was like, "Seriously, you really think that Cory Michael Zedler would take free time to do anything that was highly related to school work?"
The other evening, Lauren creepily peered into my room as I watched Seinfeld and requested that we go to IHOP, so we did. After monching down our food and suffering through my chocolate deprived, milked-down chocolate milk, we talked about music. To be brutally honest (and no offense), I don't remember exactly what she said about it, but my point is that for me music always takes me back to previous places; like where I first listened to the song or where I listened to that song most.
